History

The Roy Kinnear Charitable Foundation was set up in 1996 by Carmel Kinnear, wife of the late actor Roy Kinnear, whose daughter lives in the home. After a huge fundraising effort, the house in Strawberry Hill was purchased and adapted to make it suitable for the initial 5 residents who moved in during 2000.

Later in 2006, the house was extended to provide for a further 3 bedrooms as well as additional facilities, including an external room which is used for various activities.
