Our Approach

Our approach is to provide highly individualised nursing care and support to each resident, based on a detailed assessment of their needs and preferences. As well as preparing a comprehensive care plan for each resident detailing precisely their medical needs and how they wish their personal care to be provided, we also prepare a ‘Person Centred Plan’ working with the resident, their family and friends. This Plan sets out the person’s aspirations and plans for their lifestyle and activities as well as their preferred methods of communication.

We believe that people should live as normal a life as possible, participating in all the domestic routines of life including cooking, cleaning, gardening and laundry as well as accessing the mainstream facilities in the local community. There are times when residents benefit from attending specialist activities for disabled people but generally we find that their preference is to do what other people in their 20’s and 30’s are doing.
